What motivated you to become a dietitian?

The reason I became a dietitian traces back to a significant moment in my life. When my mother was diagnosed with metastasized cancer at 14, she turned to a holistic approach, including a vegetarian diet, juicing, supplements, and faith. Witnessing her remarkable journey inspired me to pursue nutrition. Additionally, observing family members’ struggles with weight loss diets further fueled my passion for the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I find a Vegan Dietitian in Pennsylvania?

It can be hard to find specialized dietitians for a plant-based and vegan diet, so booking with us is quick, simple, and effortless. We are registered plant-based dietitians, and for that reason, we can also provide insurance receipt at the end of any and all consultations.

Is there a difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist in Pennsylvania

The title of Dietitian and/or Nutritionist is protected by board certification and strict regulatory bodies that require some form of university studies and clinical practice to qualify. In Pennsylvania, it is the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that regulates the titles, and as such, we can provide and guarantee our expertise in all of our nutrition specialties. The terms are the same in the state of Pennsylvania.

Why a vegan Dietitian over a regular dietitian?

A vegan and plant-based nutritionist possesses identical qualifications and certifications as any other dietitian. However, we bring a wealth of personal experiences and acquired knowledge that aligns more closely with your vegetarian, plant-based, and flexitarian diets. Specializing in plant-based foods, a vegan dietitian delves into the intricacies of this multifaceted subject, which can often seem overwhelming due to the abundance of information available. Consulting with us can provide clarity and demystify plant-based nutrition, empowering you to feel confident in your dietary choices!
