Weight Loss

Despite a healthy pregnancy and breastfeeding experience, Lucy personally lost over 30 pounds postpartum. In the last year, she has used this experience to help many clients optimize calorie density for successful weight loss.

Balanced Diet

With nearly 5 years of studying and practicing a plant-based diet, Lucy understands the challenges and overwhelm associated with it. She can simplify and make it more manageable for you on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis!

Sports Nutrition

Utilizing her personal passion for running, cycling, and strength training, Lucy can tap into her own experiences in meeting her athletic nutritional requirements and assist you in achieving the same.

Eating Disorders

After researching eating disorders, Lucy now knows how to address the emotional aspects of these issues. Recently, she's focused on coaching individuals with food addictions, a prevalent yet relatively unexplored form of disordered eating.

IBS & Digestive Problems

Lucy has managed GERD since age 18 and received specialized training to coach those with conditions like IBS, IBD, celiac disease, gluten intolerance, SIBO, and more. She can assist clients in managing digestive imbalances, providing strategies for symptom control and improved quality of life.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Lucy followed a plant-based diet during pregnancy and her daughter's 2.5 years of breastfeeding. She offers guidance to address concerns and promote optimal development during this period. She humorously attributes her daughter's impressive speaking skills at 2.5 years to the plant-based diet.

Toddler / Child / Adolescent Nutrition

As a parent, Lucy is familiar with child feeding challenges like picky eating and parental concerns about essential nutrients. She offers guidance on feeding with confidence and understanding, acknowledging that perfection isn't always attainable.

Intuitive Eating

Raised by a wonderful but weight-struggling mother, Lucy learned to be mindful of emotional eating triggers. She now helps others embrace intuitive eating, break free from constant dieting, and establish a harmonious relationship with all types of foods.

Lucy and Her Journey with Plant-Based Nutrition

What inspired you to become a dietitian?

I've always loved cooking since I was young, so it felt like a natural choice for me to pursue a career as a nutritionist (once I discovered what it entailed). To me, it represents the perfect combination of science, cooking, and psychology, offering new things to learn each week!

When did you become plant-based?

I first encountered plant-based eating at university, but it was during my stay with missionaries in Africa that I became truly convinced of its ability to combat disease. Since then, I've felt a strong obligation to educate people about what I consider the healthiest diet on the planet, advocating for it rather than something more "moderate."

Why are you plant-based?

Plant-based diets not only exhibit significant influence over diseases and symptoms of irreversible conditions, but they are also the most sustainable dietary choice, making them the kindest option for the millions of people facing food scarcity daily. Recognizing the horrors of animal agriculture, I strive to minimize my contribution to animal suffering.

Why did you choose to be flexitarian?

I uphold a flexible eating pattern as I believe that accepting food prepared by others is a way to express and receive love, fostering cultural exchange. While I maintain a vegan diet at home, I remain adaptable in cultural or social settings.
