What motivated you to become a dietitian?

Becoming a dietitian was a natural choice for me, rooted in my passion for both nutrition and helping others lead healthier lives. I have always loved cooking since I was a young teenager, and when I became vegan, well I had to learn how to cook healthy balanced-meals since vegan options were very limited in my small town. Witnessing the transformative power of food on health outcomes firsthand, I was inspired to pursue a career where I could blend my love for nutrition with my desire to make a positive impact. As a dietitian, my mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge to make informed dietary choices, guiding them toward optimal health and well-being through the power of plant-based nutrition.

When did you become plant-based?

I have been vegan since 2018!

Why are you plant-based?

As an animal lover and Registered Dietitian, compassion guides my journey of veganism for a while now. Understanding the ethical implications and realizing the potential to thrive without animal products made choosing plant-based foods a clear and compassionate decision for me. Beyond ethics, sustainability drives my dietary choices. Embracing a plant-centered diet minimizes environmental impact while providing a variety of health benefits and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
