So you love peanut butter on toast, but it’s sometimes too heavy for you. Or you wish it could be thicker and creamier without adding a bunch of bulk. Vegan peanut butter yogurt toast is your solution. Hear me out.

This recipe is my own version of the famous Tik Tok yogurt toast trend. You might be skeptical of the mix of textures, BUT this is actually so good. Vegan yogurt toast is creamy and decadent, but also light and refreshing.

Yogurt toast recipe

Calling this is a yogurt toast a recipe feels like cheating, because this is so simple it shouldn’t even be a recipe. All you need to do is mix natural smooth peanut butter with unsweetened vanilla vegan yogurt. Then, you can spread your delicious yogurt on toast or use it as a fruit dip. Vegan yogurt toast is that easy!

Vegan things to put on toast

In my opinion, the best vegan toast starts with high quality bread. A hearty sprouted grain loaf or a fresh artisan sourdough loaf make toast that much better.

I absolutely love peanut butter on toast, so that’s why I came up with this new spin on it. But if that’s not your jam (haha, get it?), the best vegan toast has a combo of protein and fat for sustenance.

Avocado, hummus, nut/seed butters, and bean spreads are a good start. For more inspiration, check out this list of 9 creative plant-based toast ideas!
